OpenAI has recently completed an impressive funding round, raising a total of $122 billion. This operation brings the company's valuation to $852 billion. Notable investors include Amazon, Nvidia, SoftBank, and Microsoft, as well as venture capital heavyweights like a16z, BlackRock, and Sequoia Capital. Additionally, private investors contributed $3 billion through banking channels, and OpenAI has expanded its credit line to $4.7 billion.
The company also announced impressive performance figures, now generating $2 billion in monthly revenue. The number of weekly active users of ChatGPT has surpassed 900 million, reflecting the massive adoption of its services.
As part of its expansion, OpenAI has officially launched the ChatGPT Super App. This innovative application combines several features, including ChatGPT, the coding agent Codex, web search, and other advanced capabilities from OpenAI, all within a user experience focused on the agent.
A significant portion of the new funds will be invested in computing infrastructure, reflecting OpenAI's focus on the enterprise sector. The company recently abandoned its video model Sora to concentrate its resources on more promising initiatives. Currently, the enterprise sector already accounts for over 40% of OpenAI's total revenue. According to the company, consumer familiarity with its products encourages their adoption in the professional world.
