OpenAI Doubles Quotas on Pro 100 and 500, Adjusts Pro 200

OpenAI raises usage caps on several Pro plans, while Anthropic prepares for its IPO. The new models 6.1, Terra, and Sol accompany this phase by being presented as more efficient. The increases apply immediately to both new subscriptions and existing customers, with nuances in usage to be aware of.
Increased Competition and New Models
OpenAI is making these adjustments as Anthropic prepares for its public offering, and both companies are competing to establish themselves in the B2B artificial intelligence market. OpenAI recently launched the 6.1, Terra, and Sol models, which are touted as more efficient while matching or exceeding the performance of previous versions. The company states its intention to continue improving its models and increasing efficiency to enhance usable capacity.

Changes to Quotas on Pro Plans
Usage limits are doubled for several paid tiers. The Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans benefit from a doubling of their work and Codex quotas. On the Pro 200 plan, the lower quota is also doubled, and a reduction that was to be applied has been canceled following user feedback. The Plus plan remains unchanged.
Application Terms and Reservations
The new quotas are already integrated into new subscriptions, and existing customers automatically benefit from them. However, OpenAI clarifies that doubling a quota does not guarantee twice as many tasks completed, as consumption depends on the model used, the type of task, and the chosen parameters. The expanded limits for new Dots remain in effect for now, with separate usage tracking.
