OpenAI plans to introduce a new premium plan priced at $500 per month. According to a report from MoffettNathanson, the average person has 11 monthly payments that an agent could likely manage. Among the highlighted uses are canceling forgotten subscriptions and negotiating better prices. Some scenarios envision AI agents intervening in commerce by taking a commission on transactions, but this remains speculative. The idea that personal agents could enhance loyalty to an AI company is suggested, while it is more common to distribute one-off requests among several chatbots rather than giving multiple agents access to one's data and action capabilities. However, tech-savvy users might adopt different practices.

Meta and Instinct already in the race, Dots becomes the third major launch

Meta recently introduced its Muse agents, while Instinct has also launched its own AI agents. Dots is considered the third significant AI agent launch to occur in recent months. Dots was unveiled by OpenAI at the DevDay conference in San Francisco, where it was described as an "always on" agent.

Access limited to paid offerings and new collaborative features

Dots is not free and will initially be available to Enterprise and Business Premium customers, as well as ChatGPT Pro subscribers. OpenAI also introduced ChatGPT Space, which allows for a new form of collaboration among colleagues. Sam Altman outlined a three-pronged roadmap for OpenAI, focused on models, building, and distribution. Additionally, some executives are already using AI agents for task delegation.
