Native GIF Creation with Adjustment and Editing
ChatGPT now allows users to create GIFs from a prompt or an uploaded photo. Users can adjust the animation speed, edit each frame of the GIF, and share the result directly within the chatbot interface. Prior to this update, ChatGPT could not generate GIFs in a single step. OpenAI provided an example where the chatbot generates a GIF in response to the request "can you make a GIF of a dancing cat?", while also offering the ability to adjust the animation speed and view the GIF frame by frame.
Claimed Acceleration and Usage Volumes
OpenAI states that the Images 2.6 update enables faster image generation in ChatGPT. According to the company, over 4 billion images are now produced each week via ChatGPT and its API, compared to the 3 billion per week reported in September.
