OpenAI plans to launch Intelligent UI on Wednesday with the GPT-6 model. The rollout will first target Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise users globally. Users on free and Go plans will gain access to the feature starting Thursday.

The new interface aims to make ChatGPT much more visual by integrating numerous elements into conversations. Aarush Selvan, product lead at OpenAI, reminds us that ChatGPT has primarily been a text-based interface. He explains that the goal is to assist in accomplishing everyday tasks like planning a recipe or a trip, or learning something, emphasizing that the most useful responses go beyond text. As an illustration, he mentioned a middle school student's query about the lift of an airplane wing: the chatbot quickly produced several diagrams intended to show how airplanes stay in the air.
Customizing the Experience and Controlling Visuals
The feature, dubbed Intelligent UI, will be customizable. Users will be able to reduce the presence of visuals in responses if they prefer less graphic outputs.
