OpenAI recently announced the integration of the startup NextSlide into its ecosystem, thereby enhancing the capabilities of ChatGPT. This acquisition allows OpenAI to enrich its offering in the field of presentation creation, an area in which NextSlide has specialized.
NextSlide's website features a note from its founder, Ahmed Beshry, describing their product as an innovative tool that transforms prompts, notes, documents, or research into polished and editable presentations. NextSlide's goal is to make visual communication more accessible, enabling more people to clearly express their ideas.
By joining OpenAI, the NextSlide team is committed to continuing this mission by developing AI products that help users create, communicate, and transform their ideas into meaningful works. The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, but Beshry mentioned on LinkedIn that the acquisition took place earlier this year.
Ahmed Beshry has a notable background, having previously co-founded Caper AI, a company specializing in smart carts and cashier-less checkout, which was acquired by Instacart in 2021.
