Billion-Dollar Amounts Surrounding AI Agent Access
Recent transactions in AI agent access security and adjacent services have reached high amounts. Cyera, valued at $12 billion earlier this year, acquired Oasis Security for $1 billion; Oasis focuses on managing AI agents' access to systems. Cisco, for its part, purchased Astrix for approximately $400 million, according to Calcalist. It is also reported that Upwind rejected a buyout offer from DataDog that valued it at around 40 times its ARR.
Clutch Targeted for $500M in Cash and Milestone Payments
Palo Alto Networks is in discussions to acquire Clutch Security for $500 million in cash, with additional payments contingent on milestones, according to a source close to the negotiations. Clutch secures AI agents' access to enterprise systems and is approaching $10 million in annual recurring revenue. If the deal goes through, the valuation would represent about 50 times that ARR. Both companies did not respond to inquiries. Founded three years ago, Clutch was valued at $85 million during a $20 million funding round in January 2025, led by Lightspeed and SignalFire.
