On Sunday evening, the official ChatGPT account on X immersed its followers in a retro atmosphere by posting a fictional advertisement inspired by the 80s. This image, reminiscent of the computer magazines of the time, shows a family gathered around a vintage PC, exchanging ideas and asking questions.

The initiative quickly captured the attention of internet users, who embraced the concept with enthusiasm. A wave of retro creations emerged, each competing in imagination and humor. Among the most notable was an advertisement showcasing a crypto network as a family revolution on an old PC, which particularly caught people's attention.

Other users took the concept further by creating fictional crypto projects like CoinMafia, populated with eccentric characters. Some even revisited the original homepage of ChatGPT in a 1998 version, while others invented absurd memes, such as Memelord priced at 42 dollars.

The excitement for this trend also led to improbable creations, such as a vintage Formula 1 homepage and even an Ogre mode for Shrek. One user even claimed to have had the idea before anyone else.

However, not everyone was charmed by this wave of nostalgia. Artist Reid Southen expressed some reservations, highlighting the irony of the phrase "reliable knowledge" used in the advertisement. He accompanied his comment with a warning about the potential errors of ChatGPT.
