Rayon Raises €10M for AI and 3D

The startup founded in 2021 claims to have completed over 4 million designs and counts Virgin Atlantic, CityHub, and Morning among its clients. It is preparing to transition to 3D and mobile tools, funded by a €10 million Series A round led by Partech, with support from its historical investors.

Rayon states that over 4 million designs have been created on its platform. Among its clients are Virgin Atlantic, CityHub, and Morning. Virgin Atlantic uses the tool to design its airport lounges, CityHub for internal feasibility studies, and Morning to create new collaboration spaces. The platform operates via web browser, allows real-time collaboration, and centralizes plans, styles, specifications, summary tables, as well as PDF files, CAD documents, and images for restaurant, hotel, retail, and workspace projects.

3D, mobile, and real-time sharing: announced developments

Rayon plans to use the funds raised to deploy a comprehensive suite of artificial intelligence features and transition from 2D to 3D. The company also reports the creation of an application primarily designed for mobile use, a new presentation mode allowing instant modification and sharing of designs with clients, as well as an expanded library of templates. These innovations aim to enable Rayon to accelerate the commercialization of its solution to attract a larger number of interior designers.

€10 million in Series A led by Partech with support from historical investors

Rayon raised €10 million in Series A during a round led by Partech, with participation from Northzone, Foundamental, and Seedcamp. The startup had previously raised €4 million in seed funding in September 2023, following a pre-seed round of €1.7 million in 2022. The company's team comprises around forty employees. It provides drawing software that can be used directly from a web browser and is aimed at interior designers.

An AI approach presented as specific to interior design

Stanislas Chaillou, co-founder of Rayon, asserts that interior design requires a specific approach to AI. He clarifies that Rayon’s solution is integrated into the drawing process while remaining connected to the AI tools already used by designers. Rayon was founded in 2021 by Bastien Dolla and Stanislas Chaillou.
