Revolut Launches AIR in France and Details Its AI Power

Revolut is active in France with AIR, its integrated financial assistant within the mobile app. The neobank links this launch to figures regarding its AI deployments, from H100 infrastructure to voice agents, and highlights features for everyday management and travel.
Voice Agents and Over 200 GPUs to Support AI
In January, Revolut launched voice agents using ElevenLabs technology in the UK and across Europe. According to the company, ticket processing was completed eight times faster, with a call completion rate reaching 99.7%. From an infrastructure standpoint, Revolut relies on a fleet of over 200 NVIDIA H100 GPUs. According to its figures, around 1.2 million support tickets per month are managed via AI, with nearly 80% of conversations resolved without human intervention. The neobank also reports a valuation of around $75 billion and more than 70 million customers worldwide.
AIR Arrives in the App in France, Accessible with a Swipe
Revolut is launching AIR, which stands for AI by Revolut, an assistant directly integrated into its mobile application in France. From the home screen, a simple swipe down is enough to access it, with an alternative route via Profile → Chats → AIR.
Expense Management, Subscriptions, Card, and Travel via Conversation
AIR offers expense analysis, providing a summary of habits and amounts by category. The assistant also allows users to track investments and portfolio status. It facilitates subscription management, including cancellations, as well as card management, such as blocking a lost card through conversation. For travel, the assistant helps plan a travel budget and purchase a Revolut eSIM within the app. All of this is controlled using natural language.

Limited Data Access to the App and User Control Promise
Revolut states that the assistant only accesses data already visible in the app, such as transactions, investments, and card information. The company claims it does not use hidden data or engage in additional data collection. Julia Ponomareva asserts that customers retain control, with financial intelligence presented as privacy-respecting.
Goal: Replace Navigation with Natural Language Queries
Julia Ponomareva, partner and general manager of CX and AI products, advocates for the end of navigation through multiple tabs and emphasizes natural language queries. She describes AIR as a solution for better expense control and travel organization, rather than just a simple FAQ chatbot. To this end, Revolut has formed an internal team specializing in AI, working on voice agents, personal assistants, and automated sales solutions. Meanwhile, Starling Bank introduced an equivalent assistant based on Google Gemini a month ago. Other UK banks, such as Barclays, NatWest, HSBC, and Lloyds, are also investing in AI. In France, the adoption of these uses may be more distant, particularly due to a stricter legal framework.
