Revolut, Europe's most valuable fintech, has recently launched an AI assistant integrated into its app, marking a significant advancement in its product expansion. This new tool, named AI by Revolut (AIR), is now available to British users, offering a range of features to simplify financial management.
An Assistant to Simplify Financial Management
Revolut's AI assistant allows customers to manage their finances intuitively. Among the features offered are expense analysis, investment tracking, subscription management, and the ability to freeze a lost card directly within a conversation. These tools aim to provide users with a smoother and more centralized experience.
Integrated Travel Features
In addition to its financial capabilities, AIR offers travel assistance tools. Users can manage their travel budgets and purchase Revolut eSIMs directly from the app. Interaction with the assistant is simplified: users just need to swipe down from the middle of the screen on the Revolut app's home page.
Commitment to Data Privacy
Revolut assures that the AIR assistant does not retain personal data and only accesses information visible to customers, such as transactions, investments, and cards. This approach aims to ensure user data privacy and security.
A Vision for the Future
At the Revolutionaries event in November 2024, co-founders Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko unveiled their vision for this AI assistant to the public. Francesca Carlesi, CEO of the UK, had already announced in June to Bloomberg that the assistant would be "operational soon."
Moreover, Revolut is preparing to roll out a multitude of new products worldwide, including credit cards, savings accounts, and mortgages. The company has also established a new unit dedicated to AI, hiring to develop personal assistants, voice products, as well as agents for call centers and outbound sales. Julia Ponomaverva, head of customer experience and AI products at Revolut, stated: "We believe the era of navigating through countless tabs and menus is over."
