Grok is now an AI agent "teammate" that you can assign tasks to. Grok Bots can operate independently using their own cloud-based computing environment.

SpaceXAI has launched Grok Bot, a continuously active AI agent service designed to act as "AI teammates" capable of completing your work. The bots share their own cloud-based computing environment and can connect to the applications, tools, and websites you already use to accomplish multi-step professional tasks, returning only when their assigned work is complete or if something requires approval.

Grok Bot (or Bots, as SpaceXAI inconsistently pluralizes it) is the latest initiative from Elon Musk's company to compete with business services launched by other AI providers, including ChatGPT Work from OpenAI, Claude Cowork from Anthropic, and Copilot Tasks from Microsoft. SpaceXAI claims that Grok Bot builds on an internal prototype already used to manage tasks such as business prospecting, marketing, office operations, bug fixes, and more within the company.

You can message the bots "like a colleague" from your phone or desktop to assign tasks without having to first create workflows and routines. Multiple bots can operate in parallel, with one bot tasked with managing the others working on their own specialized tasks. The bots can "message each other independently" to share context when projects overlap, according to SpaceXAI, and can also be placed in a group chat environment to coordinate work and assign responsibilities on their own.

Grok bots can learn and record your existing workflows and maintain context on how you perform tasks to preserve your personal voice. SpaceXAI claims they can also resume interrupted conversations and threads, pick up work from old chats, and become more proactive over time — "taking on tasks before you need to ask and knowing when something requires your attention."

Grok Bot is available in beta starting today. It is accessible on desktop and iOS for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers. SpaceXAI indicates that teams and enterprise users can join a waitlist for future access.
