Google AI Ultra: Enhanced Subscriptions Unveiled at I/O 2026
A New $100 AI Ultra Plan
At the I/O 2026 event, Google introduced a new AI Ultra subscription plan priced at $100 per month, specifically designed for developers, technical leads, knowledge workers, and advanced creators. This plan offers a 5 times higher usage limit in the Gemini and Google Antigravity applications compared to the Pro plan. Users also benefit from the integration of Gemini 3.5 Flash, enabling ultra-fast testing, debugging, and iterations. Additionally, priority access to Google Antigravity, a development platform focused on agents, is included. Subscribers receive 20 TB of cloud storage to host vast datasets, codebases, and multimedia assets. An individual YouTube Premium plan is also offered, allowing users to stream tutorials or troubleshooting guides without ads in the background while they work.
Price Reduction for the Premium Plan
In parallel, Google announced a price reduction for its premium AI Ultra plan, lowering the monthly fee from $250 to $200. This subscription tier continues to offer a 20 times higher usage limit in the Gemini and Google Antigravity applications compared to the Pro plan, while maintaining the same advanced capabilities.
Access to Advanced Features
Subscribers to the $100 and $200 plans can access advanced features such as Gemini Spark, an AI agent available 24/7 to assist with navigating the digital life. This service is available only in the United States. The Project Genie, an experimental research prototype, is globally accessible for subscribers to the $200 plan, but only for those aged 18 and older.
New Models and Productivity Tools
AI subscribers have access to the latest models, including Gemini Omni, which allows for the creation and editing of videos from any input without the need for expensive equipment. Gemini 3.5 Flash is also available, providing top-notch performance for agents and coding, excelling in complex long-term tasks. Tools like AI Inbox in Gmail and Daily Brief in the Gemini app are included to enhance productivity, although they are available only in the United States.
Benefits and Updates
The AI Ultra plan includes an individual YouTube Premium subscription. Soon, AI Pro subscribers in certain countries will receive a YouTube Premium Lite plan at no additional cost, adding a value of $8.99 per month. Google is also introducing a usage-based model based on compute used, with limits refreshing every five hours. If users reach their cap on the largest models, they will be switched to smaller, faster, cutting-edge models. AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can purchase AI credits on demand for Google Antigravity, Google Flow, and soon, the Gemini app.
These updates are beginning to roll out today and will be available in the coming days and weeks.
