The Alphafold is equipped with the Hermes Agent, an AI agent developed on the open-source Hermes project by Nous Research. Vertu specifies that Phone-to-ERP and VPS integrations will be customized for each client based on their existing systems, with tailored pricing.

Compatibility and Integration

The Alphafold smartphone can handle requests via multiple AI models, including OpenAI's GPT, Anthropic's Claude, and Google's Gemini. It also integrates with over 80 applications and many native phone functions, enabling cross-platform workflows. Molly Ma, CEO of Vertu, emphasizes that AI features on current smartphones are often consumer-focused, leaving room for more advanced solutions in the business sector. Critical data can be processed locally, and information sent to external AI models is carefully scrubbed or tokenized before leaving the device.

Most decisions regarding enterprise smartphones continue to be driven by ecosystem integration and device management support rather than AI capabilities.

The first batch of 115 units of the Alphafold begins shipping this week, including to the United States, marking a new milestone for Vertu in its quest for reinvention in the luxury smartphone market.
