Your AI Slop Bores Me is a platform where exchanges occur between humans, with one playing the "machine" and the other formulating the request. Responses can be textual or drawn, with a timer of 150 seconds and a credit system for posting requests. The service is accompanied by a Discord server and a gallery, while also displaying advertisements.
A Discord and a gallery, but intrusive ads
Beyond the game, the service brings together a community through a Discord server and a Hall of Fame gallery. This gallery showcases achievements, including a version of The Starry Night. Terrence O'Brien finds the site's advertisements to be intrusive and bothersome.
Two sides: request from the human side, response from the "AI" side
The interface offers two tabs, "human" and "LARP as an AI." In the first, the user enters a request; in the second, they submit a response. Both roles are performed by humans, and requests can ask for a response in text or image form. The person playing the "AI" has 150 seconds to respond. For drawing, the provided tool is very simple, akin to MS Paint. Many requests involve obscure anime characters, and Terrence O'Brien believes that some drawings are nearly impossible to complete within the time and with the tools provided. If a request is unsatisfactory, it can be skipped.
Credits to post, one free every two minutes
The service operates on a credit system. Posting a request consumes credits; to earn them, one must respond to requests on the "AI" side. It is also possible to wait: a free request is granted every two minutes.
