OVHcloud Set to Strengthen Its Voice AI Expertise with Gladia
OVHcloud, the French cloud giant, has announced its intention to acquire the voice AI startup Gladia. The financial details of the deal remain confidential, but the move aims to enhance OVHcloud's capabilities in the field of multimodal and agentic generative AI.
A Strategic Acquisition for OVHcloud
The company stated that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Gladia, a startup founded in 2022. Gladia specializes in voice-to-text transcription, offering its services in over 100 languages. It claims a client base of 2,000 companies, reflecting its expertise and market reach.
An Expansion of the AI Offering
This acquisition is part of a broader strategy by OVHcloud to strengthen its artificial intelligence offerings. Last March, OVHcloud had already signed an agreement to acquire Dragon LLM, a platform specializing in AI model customization. In January, the company also acquired Seald, which specializes in end-to-end encryption.
With these acquisitions, OVHcloud demonstrates its determination to become a major player in the AI sector by developing innovative and secure solutions for its clients.
